ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Stepdown/MedSurg (Night Shift) in Morgantown, West Virginia.

12-hour Night shifts; Schedule will be F, S, S or S, S, M and will include working a holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for a typical Med-Surg population, including patients with chest pain, COPD, altered mental status, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, abdominal pain, and overflow for most services, with the potential to flip patients to GIP Hospice on 7 West. The unit consists of 32 total beds, with 12 designated for Stepdown care and 20 for general floor patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in both Stepdown and Med-Surg units.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care and treatment plans.

Required Experience

Candidates must possess a valid nursing license and have experience in a Stepdown or Med-Surg setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Active nursing license for the state of West Virginia is required.
