ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Neuro Stepdown & EMU (Night Shift) in Morgantown, West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Nights - 3, 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as needed.

Job Description

Join the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute's Inpatient Step Down Unit, caring for high acuity neuroscience patients, including those with EVDs, strokes, and seizures. The unit consists of 31 total beds (25 Stepdown, 6 EMU) with nurse to patient ratios of 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:5-6 for EMU. Experience with TPA and post-care management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to neuroscience patients in a stepdown setting.
• Implement NIHSS and manage patient assessments.
• Titrate drips as per physician orders when applicable.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on discharge plans and follow-up care.

Required Experience

• Strong neuro nursing experience, particularly with stroke patients.
• History of caring for high acuity patients.
• Previous experience in Stepdown or similar environments.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• A valid nursing license.
