Shifts are scheduled for 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room setting will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This position requires strong expertise in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient safety, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with surgical operations while maintaining a sterile environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room.
• Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and provide postoperative care as needed.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures.

Required Experience

• Strong experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular nursing.
• Previous experience in an operating room setting is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of New York.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
