Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days a week. Weekend, holiday, and on-call work are required. The initial assignment duration is 13 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide quality patient care in the operating room and ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and clinical practices.
• Assess patients' clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Implement safety measures and utilize equipment to ensure patient mobility and safety.
• Function effectively in stressful situations while demonstrating creative problem-solving skills.
• Assume charge nurse duties when required and function as a leader in the team environment.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Perform lethal dysrhythmia interpretation and respond appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience are valued for experienced RNs.
