Afternoons from 11 AM to 11 PM, with flexibility to evenings if needed.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse provides expert surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment, delivering pre- and post-operative patient education, and monitoring patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments.
• Monitor and manage patient care during surgical procedures.
• Ensure a sterile surgical environment.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to integrate and coordinate patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current Operating Room experience.
• Experience floating to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Must have Scrub and Circulate experience.
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
