Schedule/Shift
Day shift, 4x10 hours per week, with guaranteed 40 hours. Weekend requirement is every other weekend and every other holiday.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will provide high-quality surgical care to patients in various procedures. You will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, assisting with surgeries, and ensuring surgical teams have the necessary support and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care to patients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and manage IVs.
- Assist in surgeries and collaborate with surgical teams.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on recovery processes and postoperative care.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are prepared and sterilized.
Required Experience
- One year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- New York State RN license or a valid Compact license.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
