Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit will provide care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, utilizing telemetry monitoring to assess patient status and implement appropriate interventions. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and maintain effective communication with patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry readings and respond to patient needs accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatment as prescribed by the physician.
• Document patient care and any changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families on health management post-discharge.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience

Minimum of 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current and active Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
