Job Description

The Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer plays a crucial role in providing detailed ultrasound imaging for patients experiencing high-risk maternal or fetal conditions. The role entails performing between 7 to 9 detailed ultrasounds daily across six ultrasound rooms at Sacred Heart Medical Center and two at Holy Family Hospital. Findings are reported to three MFM physicians, and sonographers assist with advanced procedures such as amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS. Familiarity with fetal echo and detailed ultrasound imaging is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed ultrasounds daily (7-9 per day).
• Report findings to Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians.
• Assist with procedures including amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS.
• Conduct fetal echocardiograms.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and adhere to unit protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound.
• Experience in high-risk OB-GYN settings.
• Outpatient experience required.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification required.
• Nuchal Translucency certification required.
