ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Cardiac and Pulmonary (Night Shift) in Beckley, West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Work every other weekend.

Job Description

This position entails providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population aged 18 years and up in a Critical Care Step-Down unit, equipped with 22 beds. The nurse will work with a maximum patient ratio of 4:1 and utilize equipment such as cardiac monitors, suction, oxygen, and vital sign machines. The documentation system used is Meditech.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, particularly those with cardiac, pulmonary, and respiratory issues.
• Provide post-cardiac catheterization care and support patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis.
• Manage patients experiencing cardiac events, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, congestive heart failure exacerbation, postoperative recovery, and CIWA protocols.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and their families to provide emotional support and education.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery and care plans.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant clinical setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
