Nights 12 hours 1900-0715, 36 hours per week guaranteed, every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, intervention, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to establish patient goals and is responsible for the wellbeing of all types of patients.

Responsibilities

• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as per physician's plan of care.
• Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, patient education, and monitoring vital signs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in updating/revising plans in collaboration with team members.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies regarding patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing.
• Experience in a Neuro PCU is required.
• Recent travel work history is highly preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan (LARA and/or Nursys must indicate active status).
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Active NIHSS certification.
