ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Night Shift) in Rochester, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shift hours are from 7 PM to 7 AM with alternate day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and candidates must be available for every other holiday as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a 528-bed acute care facility, providing care in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering IV therapy, and responding to emergencies including dysrhythmia interpretation and managing rapid response/code situations. Strong communication and clinical skills are essential for providing effective care in this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy, managing peripheral lines.
• Administer nasal cannula and oxygen therapy.
• Implement isolation precautions as necessary.
• Activate rapid response and code teams as appropriate.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience within the past 6 months is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active New York State RN license (non-compact).
• BLS certification required.
