ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Night Shift) in Rochester, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shift hours are 1900p-0700a or 0700a-1900p, with a weekend requirement of every other weekend. Must also be available for every other holiday if needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, focusing on cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Responsibilities include interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, administering oxygen and non-invasive airway management, and performing IV therapy and phlebotomy with peripheral line care. The facility utilizes EPIC for charting, and nurses must be familiar with this system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, interpreting dysrhythmias and responding to emergencies.
• Administer oxygen therapy, including the use of nasal cannulas and tanks.
• Provide IV therapy, including phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management.
• Implement isolation precautions and adhere to safety protocols.
• Float to other units as required, maintaining care within the established skillset.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must have an active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact).
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
