Schedule/Shift

Shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit will provide high-quality patient care for a diverse adult and geriatric population. This role requires experience in cardiac monitoring, emergency response to dysrhythmias, and management of oxygen therapies, alongside proficiency in IV therapy and phlebotomy. Nurses will utilize the EPIC charting system for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient care on the telemetry unit.
• Interpret and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV therapies and ensure proper line care.
• Utilize Rapid Response and Code Teams as necessary.
• Document patient data accurately in the EPIC system.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience

Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact)
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification (valid certifications must be included in the submission)
