Schedule/Shift

Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, with a guarantee of 36 hours weekly. Weekend hours will be rotating or every other weekend.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Twin County Regional Healthcare, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages. You'll be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The facility features a 13-bed emergency unit and utilizes the Paragon electronic health record system.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Manage emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
• Document patient care accurately and timely using the electronic health record.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and outcomes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and facility policies to ensure a safe environment.

Required Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room or Trauma care is required. Critical Care experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia.
• AHA - ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• CPI/HWC certification.
• PALS certification.
• TNCC certification.
• ENPC certification.
