Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm EST; holidays per unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate MRI machines efficiently while ensuring patients feel comfortable during the scanning procedures. This role requires effective coordination with physicians to guarantee timely delivery of diagnostic results, along with familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
• Document all procedures while upholding patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in MRI technology.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is highly desired.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• NY State Rad Tech license (must be willing to obtain after starting).
• Injection certification required.
• Experience with GE scanners is mandatory.
