ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Therapy (Night Shift) in Weirton, West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The schedule is a 4-week rotation, with 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM or mid-shift from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM. Weekend and holiday coverage is required, contributing to a total of 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for various patient care areas, including Inpatient (Medical-Surgical, PCU, ICU), ER, Rehab, PACU, SNF, Endoscopy, and Cath Lab, working with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients (excluding NICU). The role includes performing respiratory treatments, drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs), capillary sticks for I-Stat testing, and managing respiratory equipment without conducting EKGs. No independent intubation is required, as assistants will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and manage respiratory equipment.
• Perform ABGs and capillary sticks for i-Stat testing.
• Assist with intubation procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members on care plans.

Required Experience

Preferred candidates will have 3-4 years of experience; however, first-time travelers will also be considered.

Certifications/Licensure

• Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC.
• CRT credentials will be accepted for those grandfathered in by the WV Board of Respiratory.
