ARMStaffing is looking for a Respiratory Therapist, Critical Care (Day Shift) in Charleston, West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including weekdays and some weekends. Floating between units is required.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide assessment, treatment, management, diagnostic testing, and education for patients experiencing cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities in a critical and general care setting. This role involves care for adults and pediatrics within a Level IV Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosol treatments and manage airway support.
• Perform extubation and tracheostomy care.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and respond to emergency situations.
• Assist with ventilatory support procedures.
• Educate patients on respiratory care and management.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care respiratory therapy is required. Candidates must have previous charge experience, with at least 2 references from a manager or charge nurse within the past 2 years.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current WV state license (CRT or RRT accepted).
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, with PALS being preferred.
