Respiratory Therapist Traveler - Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The schedule consists of 3-12 hour day shifts, with weekends and holidays as scheduled. A commitment of 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule is required.

Job Description

As a Respiratory Therapist Traveler, you will provide specialized care within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Your expertise is vital in managing respiratory treatments and procedures for pediatric and neonatal patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and manage ventilator settings.
• Perform all aspects of respiratory care, including the use of aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, Hamilton, and Servo ventilators.
• Conduct airway management and ensure intrahospital transport of patients as needed.
• Assist in intubation procedures when required, under the guidance of the supervising physician.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2 or more years of experience in a PICU or Level 4 NICU setting.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) may be accepted.
