Job Description

The role of the Respiratory Therapist involves providing care to patients with respiratory conditions in a specialized hospital setting. You will work within a high-acuity environment that includes the Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, and Rehabilitation services. Utilization of advanced respiratory therapy techniques and collaboration with healthcare professionals is essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respiratory status to assess treatment efficacy.
• Collaborate with medical staff to create and implement care plans for patients.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices and techniques.

Required Experience

Experience in a clinical setting is preferred, specifically in a specialty care environment.

Certifications/Licensure

A valid Respiratory Therapist license is required. Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is preferred.
