Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts with an every other weekend commitment.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care through intensive respiratory care and patient transport, as medically prescribed and within the scope of their professional license. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients on treatments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory and aerosol equipment.
• Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance.
• Provide suctioning and oximetry monitoring as per policy.
• Review patient chest x-rays and assist in pulmonary function studies.
• Assist in procedures related to respiratory care, including bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Maintain accurate respiratory therapy records and communicate with attending physicians regarding therapy efficiency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidates must possess a valid Respiratory Therapy license and relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
