Schedule/Shift

This position requires 3x12-hour shifts, Nights (7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.) every other week, with holiday and float coverage as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will primarily work with observation patients and those with respiratory conditions, plus general medical-surgical diagnoses. The role includes care for palliative, end-of-life, hospice patients, and psychiatric observation, alongside the management of diabetes, surgical patients, and surgical observation. The nurse will work within a tele-capable unit and utilize EPIC for charting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with various medical-surgical conditions.
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform patient assessments and maintain accurate patient charts in EPIC.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety measures.
• Handle palliative and hospice care as required.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Previous charge RN experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
• A valid nursing license must be active and in hand at the time of submission.
