Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit, you will care for mothers during labor and assist in the delivery of infants. This position takes place in an acute care setting where you will utilize the MEDITECH charting system. You will be an integral part of the healthcare team, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for mothers and newborns.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Monitor labor progression and fetal well-being.
- Assist with medical procedures and educate patients and families.
- Document patient information using the MEDITECH system.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Required Experience
Candidates must possess relevant experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license required.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
