Nights, 6 PM to 6 AM; every other weekend.
Job Description
The Labor and Delivery Nurse will provide care for patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The RN will be involved in guiding and caring for expectant mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. When appropriate, assisting on the Medical/Surgical unit will be expected as part of the nursing duties.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess laboring patients.
- Provide emotional and physical support to mothers during labor.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients.
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed for mother and newborn.
- Assist on the Medical/Surgical unit when necessary.
Required Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as scheduled.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred.
