ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Eureka, California.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:00 - 06:00). Must be available to work 3 out of 6 weekends and commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department, handling cases including but not limited to abdominal pain, acute psychosis, and trauma. The role requires managing ventilated patients, administering medications, and performing critical assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the Emergency Department, including triage and management of urgent cases.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols, including blood products and IV medications.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic charting system.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current California state RN license required.
• Certifications needed: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.
