Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health will provide care to adult patients within an inpatient setting. This role involves adherence to unit protocols, medication administration, and direct patient support. Behavioral health experience is essential as the nurse will work with various mental health diagnoses, including depression, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to adult patients in a behavioral health unit.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Utilize seclusion protocols and physical hold protocols as necessary.
• Conduct blood glucose monitoring and assist with psychoeducation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic patient care.

Required Experience

A minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a behavioral health setting is required. Relevant experience with diverse mental health conditions is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in West Virginia or a compact state license.
• BCLS certification required.
• CPI and First Aid certifications can be obtained during orientation.
