ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Day shift with options for 8 or 10-hour shifts available. Occasional midnight shifts may be required to support operational demands.
Participation in weekend rotation is required, including one weekend scheduled shift and one secondary call day per scheduling period. The 24-hour on-call requirement includes 1-2 second calls every schedule month.
Job Description
This position is located in the preoperative area of a surgical center. Responsibilities include providing surgical care knowledge in a team environment while managing preoperative assessments, patient education, and preparation for surgical procedures. The role involves scrubbing and assisting with all procedures, including same-day and overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative nursing care and assessment for surgical patients.
- Assist in scrubbing for surgical procedures.
- Ensure the sterile field is maintained during procedures.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of perioperative care.
- Document patient information accurately in the Allscripts EMR system.
Required Experience
- IV skills are a must.
- Experience in surgical care and knowledge of robotics is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS certification is required.
- Active RN license is required to submit.
