Schedule/Shift

Day shift, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend coverage required.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. Your responsibilities will include caring for telemetry patients, managing moderate volume orthopedic surgical cases, and providing general medical-surgical care. This position requires proficiency in cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, as well as experience with total joint orthopedic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips to manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer and manage IV medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Perform central line care and management, as well as PICC line management.
• Provide care for chest tubes and manage respiratory interventions such as CPAP/BIPAP.
• Respond to Rapid Response Team activations and effectively manage acute care situations.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience.
• Experience in a heavy orthopedic environment.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse license in California.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred.
