ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Night Shift) in Rochester, New York.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position offers 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with options for 36 or 48 hours available per week. There is a requirement to work one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other week, as well as at least one holiday during the contract.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will manage patient care within the West 7 Medical/Telemetry Complex Care unit, which includes 37 beds. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality medical and telemetry care, ensuring patient safety and comfort through effective assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Charting will be done using the EPIC system, and flexibility according to the unit’s needs is essential. The nurse may be required to float to other units and participate in charge duties, with training provided if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families about health management and treatment plans.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly in the EPIC system.
• Participate in unit activities and team meetings.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of acute hospital experience.
• At least 1 recent year of experience in medical/surgical telemetry.
• 2 years of work history in the United States for non-U.S. candidates.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
