Job Description

The Emergency Department at Sovah Health - Martinsville provides comprehensive emergency care for all ages. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a full-service, acute-care setting. The facility features advanced medical services, including 24-hour emergency care, with a focus on providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patients’ conditions and implement care plans as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care and responses accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system, Medhost.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room acute hospital setting, with at least one completed travel assignment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN licensure in Virginia.
• Certified in ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, and PALS or ENPC.
