ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, PACU (Day Shift) in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position involves 4 weeknight call shifts a month, 1 weekend of day call monthly, 1 weekend of night shift call every 6 weeks, and on-call shifts the evening of a holiday and the day after a holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role requires a thorough understanding of post-operative protocols and the ability to monitor and respond to patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ vitals and anesthesia effects post-surgery.
• Provide post-operative care and support to patients until they are stable.
• Administer medications and manage pain control as directed.
• Coordinate with surgical teams for patient handoff and ongoing care.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions.

Required Experience

• Must have a valid RN license.
• Previous PACU experience is preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
