07:00 AM - 05:30 PM

2-4 days a month of call will require a holiday per contract.

Job Description

The Surgical Technician will assist with surgical procedures in the operating room, ensuring that the workspace is sterile and that all instruments are properly prepared and available. Collaborating closely with surgeons and other medical personnel, the technician will play a crucial role in patient care before, during, and after surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and providing other necessary support.
• Handle patient care tasks including positioning and monitoring during procedures.
• Maintain an accurate count of surgical instruments and materials.
• Clean and sterilize instruments following procedures to adhere to safety protocols.

Required Experience

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in a surgical setting is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
