Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide essential Cardiopulmonary Services to both inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, delivering medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas, maintaining airways, managing ventilators, intubating patients, conducting pulmonary function studies, and performing cardiac and pulmonary stress tests. This role requires adherence to protocols approved by the medical staff and departmental policies to ensure timely and effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways and manage ventilators.
• Insert arterial lines and perform intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests.
• Perform blood gas analysis.

Required Experience

• Must possess NBRC RRT or CRT certification.
• Must have a Florida Respiratory Therapy license.
• Must have current ACLS and BLS certifications.
