ARMStaffing is looking for a Physical Therapist, Outpatient (Day Shift) in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Monday to Friday, with three shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch) and two shifts from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM (30-minute lunch). The average patient load is 11 patients per day.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and create, implement, and adjust treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction. The therapist will design functional treatment programs for effective integration back into community activities and serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers. Adherence to the organization’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Code of Conduct, as well as a strong focus on patient and employee safety, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop tailor-made treatment plans focused on discharge progress.
• Document patient care accurately and in compliance with established guidelines.
• Ensure therapy services are provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
• Engage in the development of students by providing a positive learning environment and proper supervision.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives within the organization.

Required Experience

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for Maryland.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Maryland.
• CPR certification.
