Physical Therapist - Outpatient

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 5x8-Hour shifts, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This position requires availability Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will work within an outpatient physical therapy department, providing therapy to adult and geriatric patients. The role requires assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and engaging in various therapeutic interventions to improve patient mobility and overall health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer physical therapy treatments and evaluations for various conditions, including orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric needs.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety precautions.
• Utilize adaptive and assistive devices as needed in therapy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3 years of Physical Therapy experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic.
• Maryland state or compact PT license required upon submission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in Manual Therapy, Dry Needling, and Hand Therapy is preferred.
• Experience working with geriatric, neurologic, and orthopedic patient populations is required.
• Experience with various therapeutic modalities and therapeutic devices.
