ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires straight night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday, as well as on-call availability per unit needs.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, compassionate care. The RN will manage patient needs throughout hospitalization, focusing on recovery, education, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional health upon admission and throughout their hospital stay.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring and assessing patient responses.
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, medications, and outcomes according to hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families on managing conditions and understanding treatment options.
• Monitor patients recovering from surgery and provide necessary post-operative care.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures within the hospital.
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care for life-threatening conditions.

Required Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• At least one year of travel nursing experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse License or Multi-State License.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
