Job Description

Join an exciting team in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment providing specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures such as biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiographies, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures. This role includes preparing patients, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery including PACU and extended stay (23-hour). Interventional Radiology is essential for the critical embolization response team for trauma patients. This position requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures.
• Assist in postoperative recovery, including PACU and extended stay management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Engage in critical thinking and effective communication within the team.

Required Experience

• 1 year of recent interventional radiology experience.
• Telemetry experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only).
