ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Abington, Pennsylvania.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position offers a 4x10 schedule, with shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM. You will be required to work one weekend every six weeks. On-call duties are optional, and holiday shifts are also optional.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work in a Level II Trauma center and be an integral part of a team responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient safety and care standards.

This role involves scrubbing total joints, neuro, hybrid vascular, and robotic cases. Additional experience in general surgery, gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, urology, vascular, thoracic, ENT, endoscopy, and trauma procedures is also essential, as workflow and patient needs may require versatility across these areas. You will utilize Epic for charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting.
• Scrub and assist in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Administer medication and treatments as ordered by the surgeon.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Trauma experience is required.
• Experience with code response, fire safety, infection control, and universal protocol/time-out procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification is required.
• A valid Pennsylvania RN license or a compact RN license is required upon submittal.
• Experience with electrosurgical units and fiber-optic equipment is preferred.
