Job Description
The Registered Nurse on the Stepdown/MedSurg unit provides high-quality patient care in an acute care setting, focusing on the monitoring and treatment of patients who require close observation and care. Responsibilities may include utilizing the EPIC charting system for documentation and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient management.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care planning.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize EPIC for charting and maintaining accurate patient records.
Required Experience
Previous experience in a Stepdown or MedSurg unit is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS Certification required.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of West Virginia or eligibility to obtain.
