Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15), weekend shift required every 2 weeks.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Step Down unit will provide care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, ensuring their safety and comfort while adhering to best practices and protocols. You will utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patient care in the Step Down unit.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
- Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Step Down or similar unit.
- Experience with a patient ratio of 5:1.
- 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license.
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
- CPI certification preferred.
