Job Description
Join a dynamic team providing attentive and compassionate care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. The NVICU at Skyline Medical Center has 16 beds, with patient ratios of 2:1, and occasionally 1:1 or 3:1 based on acuity and staffing levels. You will engage with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000, while utilizing the Meditech documentation system.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Perform advanced procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care as necessary based on clinical assessments.
- Use advanced medical equipment effectively to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Required Experience
- Active RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Previous experience in a critical care or ICU setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS required.
- BLS required.
