The position requires 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
Job Description
The RN will work on the 8 Northeast unit, a step-down medical/surgical/trauma specialty area. This unit is pivotal in handling patients diagnosed with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic fractures, and complex trauma cases. Responsibilities include monitoring patients requiring advanced care, including those with respiratory issues and managing ventilator support.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical/trauma setting.
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment for patients requiring 24-hour hemodynamic monitoring.
- Collaborate with clinical associates and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage and titrate medications, including drips for cardiac conditions.
- Assist in the mobility of patients with the use of in-ceiling lifts.
Required Experience
Candidates must possess strong assessment skills and be adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current BLS certification is required.
- ACLS certification is required.
- Active RN license is required to practice in West Virginia.
