Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a crucial member of the care delivery team, setting the standards for quality patient care. The role involves managing and providing nursing care activities for a group of patients and their families, using independent judgment and collaboration with team members. This position encompasses leadership, partnership, and supervision, fostering collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care, formulating daily goals and care plans that consider individual patient needs.
• Demonstrate critical thinking to identify clinical, social, safety, and psychological issues affecting patient care.
• Practice effective communication to articulate patient conditions to care providers and make recommendations for care adjustments.
• Actively participate in department-specific quality improvement efforts and take personal responsibility for enhancing patient satisfaction.
• Serve as an engaged partner on the care team, adapting to changes and demonstrating flexibility in practice.
• Provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families to facilitate care transitions and educate them effectively.
• Build and maintain productive working relationships by demonstrating accountability, motivation, and commitment to patients and colleagues.
• Report any safety hazards identified in the workplace to peers and management.

Required Experience

2 years of experience is required.

Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PA Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 clearances

Schedule / Shift

This is a rotating shift position requiring 12-hour shifts, working 3 days per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
