Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong competencies in phlebotomy and IV placement, as these are essential skills for this position. RNs will be expected to manage patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiac, pulmonary, GI, and infection issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, and perform EKGs.
• Administer medications and IV therapy.
• Engage with Rapid Response Teams as necessary.
• Maintain proper isolation precautions when required.

Required Experience

1 year of recent nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting is required.

Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• New York RN license is required in hand to submit.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
