Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals across various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The RN will be required to float when census dictates and must demonstrate competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, providing necessary interventions.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Perform phlebotomy, start and maintain IVs, and administer emergency medications.
• Conduct procedural sedation and monitor patients accordingly.
• Implement isolation precautions and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 (mixed/shared acuity levels).

Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY RN license.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Epic charting experience is preferred.
