Schedule / Shift

This position requires a night shift from 18:45 to 07:15, working 3x12-hour shifts. It includes every other weekend, but no on-call requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Surgery Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting, providing care to patients who have undergone surgical procedures or experienced trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a patient population with a variety of surgical and medical conditions.
• Monitor patient health status and ensure appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and revise patient care plans.
• Utilize a variety of medical technology and equipment such as wound vacs, chest tubes, and IV systems.
• Participate in emergency response as part of the Storm Team or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events.

Required Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry nursing role. First-time travelers with relevant experience will be considered.

Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• Current RN license required.
