Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Includes 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days every 6 weeks, with holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing and possess the necessary certifications to ensure effective management of patients in critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and in accordance with established protocols.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using an evidence-based approach.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Support and mentor junior staff and peers as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required. CPI, PALS, and TNCC preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license must be in hand at submission.
• Previous charge RN experience and Level II Trauma experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records is required.
