Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching, and overseeing the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and abnormal results and symptomatology.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, critical care setting
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
