Schedule/Shift

This position requires a Night Shift schedule of 3 shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit. This role involves managing a diverse patient population with complex medical needs and collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal.
• Manage care of ventilated patients.
• Implement CVA/Acute Stroke management protocols.
• Utilize hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun.
• Monitor intracranial pressure (ICP).
• Execute infection prevention measures.
• Provide care in accordance with isolation precautions and PPE regulations.
• Document patient care using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience

• At least 2 years of previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience managing a patient ratio of 2 patients per nurse.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must hold an active RN license (Compact license required).
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
