Registered Nurse - NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, with a rotating schedule including nights from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level IV NICU team. The NICU specializes in managing high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions in neonates. Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in caring for critically ill infants, especially those who are intubated and require complex interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill neonates, including those with respiratory distress syndrome, congenital defects, and other serious conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Servo Ventilators, Nitric Oxide, and CPAP.
• Support families through education and emotional support during their infant’s hospitalization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license in Ohio or a compact state license.
• Current certifications in BLS and PALS are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of Level IV NICU experience is required.
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomies is essential.
