Registered Polysomnographic Technologist / Registered Respiratory Therapist

Schedule

Shift is from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist / Registered Respiratory Therapist will perform sleep studies in accordance with policy and procedure guidelines in the Sleep Evaluation Center. The role involves working at the bedside and in critical care areas of the hospital and requires a focus on pediatric patients within a children's facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sleep studies in compliance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients during sleep studies and document findings accurately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist Registered (LRTR) or Licensed Respiratory Therapist Certified (LRTC) through the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care.
• At least 18 months of experience in a sleep lab.
• One year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certification in one of the following: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT), Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Registered Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
